According to North, there are some major differences between television and radio paid programs. “When you’re buying a thirty-minute spot on television, you’ve already tested your show. You’re not going to buy air time unless you know your show is working. So anytime you see an infomercial on TV, you know that it’s already been tested, and it’s cash flow positive.

“With buying air time on a radio, it’s the same situation [as television]. You’re not going to pay for that advertising unless you’re getting a return on your investment. Paid programming, though, for live [shows] is a big difference because it is live programming, it’s not really scripted, and you are taking calls as if it’s a regular radio show.”
